Pre- Trip Excitement

The term has just begun and in a little more than two weeks we will be taking off for Berea.  The preparation that we are doing in class is making me very anxious.  Last week over break I read 'My Appalachia' which is a personal memoir by Sidney Saylor Farr.  I found this book to be one of the more interesting books I read for the trip, read it in less then 48 hours.  The best part was being able to connect with what she wrote, because places such as Berea College and the Boone Tavern are places we  have been talking about and soon be seeing. I cannot wait to leave!
